Athens with 4 day cruise


Day 1- Sun

Meet and greet with our representative and on the way to your hotel you will have a panoramic first site of Athens. Check in at your hotel and in eventing a walking tour in old city, Plaka & Monastiraki overloaded with Greek music and nightlife. Overnight in Athens.


Day 2- Mon – Day 5 Thu

After breakfast at the hotel, meet out representative at the hotel and be transferred to Piraeus port with a/c coach for embarkation on the cruise ship for a 4 days cruise, with the itinerary as follows:

Day 6 - Fri

Early morning arrival in Athens at Piraeus port.  Meet our representative outside of the customs area around  07:30am and then be transferred with the a/c coach to Athens center.Meet with your private guide and start a half day tour of Athens (maximum 5 hours):

Start with a panoramic drive of the town: You'll see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).  Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (Ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, The Constitution Square (Syntagma). Arrive in Acropolis and visit the Architectural Masterpieces of Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit" , the Monument that "puts order in the mind" , the Parthenon.

Continue to the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum. Return at the hotel.  Rest day is Free. Overnight in Athens. We propose you an unforgetable folkore dinner.


Day 7- Sat

Breakfast in your hotel.  Today is a free day to explore Athens on your own. As an alternative option we propose you a full day in Delphi. Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus - Levadia and Arachova (short stop on the way back). Arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient World - the "Omphalos" (Navel of Earth) - whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias.  Lunch in the modern village of Delphi, return to Athens by the same route. Overnight in Athens.


Day 8 - Sun

Breakfast at the hotel and then be transferred with a/c coach  to the airport for your international flight.
